This run produced one useful reference, not a major new development. The practical issue is CRM privacy governance: who handles customer data, where integrations send it, and whether compliance requirements survive the actual workflow.

CRM privacy has to govern the workflow, not just the database (note)

Crittr verdict: ✅ Valuable

A newly published guide covers CRM data privacy, including GDPR and CCPA obligations, data-handling governance, and the risks introduced by third-party integrations. It is reference material rather than a policy change or new industry event.

CRM data rarely stays inside the CRM. Integrations and downstream workflows create additional places where customer information is handled, so compliance cannot be reduced to configuring a few fields or publishing a privacy policy.

Technicole take: Use the guide as a prompt for an architecture review, not as proof that any particular platform makes the organization compliant. The useful questions are specific: which systems receive CRM data, which roles can access it, who owns each transfer, and whether privacy requirements are reflected in the workflows that collect and move the information.

Privacy controls that exist only in policy documents tend to disappear at integration boundaries. The system map and the operating model need to agree.
